Our favourite children’s shoe brand Clarks has launched a collection of awesome kids’ shoes in an exclusive collaboration with National Geographic. The collection of canvas shoes is inspired by some of the most incredible species of animals on the planet, based on a series of photographs taken for the National Geographic Photo Ark.
The collaboration celebrates the spirit of discovery, with intention to raise awareness of endangered species all over the world, as part of the #SaveTogether initiative. The aim is to educate and inspire our children to care for the planet, be aware of the value these creatures add to the earth’s eco system, and to help at risk species before they’re gone forever.
The collection is focussed on casual shoes featuring strikingly vibrant patterns from eye-catching animals on printed canvas. The range is suitable for toddlers right up to teens, and is expected to be incredibly popular with all ages.
Clarks’ and National Geographic’s emphasis on sustainability, conserving energy and reducing production waste was a priority with this collection.
The upper canvas on the Roamer Geo, City Geo and Cyrus Geo styles has been made from 100% recycled plastic bottles with the cushioned soles on selected pairs made from 15% recycled foam. Each shoe box is made from 90% recycled paper, which is 100% recyclable.
Here’s a selection of our favourite shoes from each range of the collection, available from online and in selected Clarks’ stores from 1st April 2019:
The Big Cat collection showcases Clarks’ iconic Desert Boot, in prints inspired by the Bengal Tiger, Cheetah and Black Leopard.
