The Jelliepod is back with another expert episode focussing on Covid and fertility. Jamie and Ellie are joined by Medical Director of IVI London Dr. Cesar Diaz-Garcia MD PhD Assoc Prof to talk about the impact of the vaccine and Covid-19 on fertility, the AMH and menstrual cycles.
We quiz Dr. Diaz-Garcia on the AMH test and why there’s often a discrepancy in results between clinics that confuses us all. We ask if it’s possible to improve your AMH and what you might be doing to damage it.
We discuss the effects of Covid and its impact on the AMH, as well as the vaccine and its potential effect on menstrual cycles. We ask about fertility treatment in relation to having a vaccine, what the best advice is, and when it might be best to wait.

Biography
Dr Cesar Diaz-Garcia is an award-winning fertility specialist and surgeon, Medical Director of leading fertility clinic IVI London and an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London.
His research is focused on improving IVF success rates, uterus transplantation and ovarian rejuvenation and in 2012, he was part of the team to obtain the first live birth from a uterus transplantation.
Dr Diaz led the Valencian Program for Fertility Preservation, which is one of the most internationally recognised fertility programs for cancer patients. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers and book chapters and is currently the Associate Editor of Human Reproduction Update.
IVI London is the flagship UK clinic of IVI-RMA, the world’s largest medical group dedicated to assisted reproduction, founded in 1990 in Spain. IVI London is one of 65 IVI clinics in nine countries worldwide, offering a complete range of fertility treatments including IVF, IUI and ICSI.
