For Valentines this year we made little gumball machines out of fillable ornaments. As we only needed a couple it meant that we had a lot of ornaments left over. What better way to use them up then turn them into fillable snowman ornaments.
Make sure you follow my Christmas board on Pinterest for more ideas. Don’t forget to save the pin for later.
You will need:
These fillable snowman ornaments are very simple to make. Start by filling up the ornament with cotton wool. YC and her friend also filled up some of their ornaments with some wooden snowflakes and stars that I had left over from previous years. BB (although too young to make one) did enjoy getting his hands on them and giving them a good shake.
Use your permanent pens to draw on your snowman’s face. We used chalk pens, but Sharpies would work just as well.
We gave some scarfs made out of felt and others got ear muffs. All were glued onto the ornament once it was finished.
When it is all finished add some thread to the top so that you can hang it onto your Christmas tree.
