These apple crisps are naturally sweet and are great for a picnic, when you are on the go, or as a quick pram snack. You can experiment with different apples; I have used organic gala apples, which are naturally sweet, but not as sweet as perhaps a pink lady apple.
Serves 2-4
Ingredients
To prep, you will need
Directions
Preheat a fan oven to 140-150°C, depending on your oven.
Choose your favourite apple and core. Then thinly slice the apples carefully using a mandoline slicer; you can slice the apple by hand, it just takes a little longer.
Take a baking sheet and line with grease proof paper and lay the apples, not overlapping, on the baking tray. One apple, thinly sliced will fill a large baking tray.
Cook in the oven and turn the apples half way through cooking. If they start to brown remove from the oven.
15 to 20 mins ~ the apples to be a little soft and chewy
30 mins ~ the apples will be crisper
Cool, then enjoy, I guarantee they won’t last long!
