This ice play for toddlers doesn’t really need a massive piece written on it, it is very self explanatory. It is probably one of the easiest invitations to play that you can set up. Plus it the perfect activity for this hot weather that we are having.
Make sure you follow my toddler activity board on Pinterest for more ideas. Don’t forget to save the pin for later.
At work we have a freezer that makes its own ice, which makes this even easier to set up. I simply took the ice draw out of the freezer and dumped it into the water tray we had outside.
I simply made up the water tray and left it for BB to find and play with as he chose. YC and I were making our loo roll bald eagles and EC was marching around the garden pretending he was going off to the First World War.
I think the next time I do this activity, and if this weather continues I am pretty sure I will, I may add a couple of coloured ice cubes into the mix as well.
