In Review: Nuna PIPA Urbn – The Only Infant Carrier With Integrated ISOFIX Connectors

Premium baby gear brand Nuna has launched the PIPA urbn, the world’s first baseless infant carrier with integrated ISOFIX connectors. Nuna’s PIPA urbn is a complete game changer for those that travel and for families using multiple vehicles. We were excited to find out more.

Introducing the PIPA urbn

The PIPA urbn is a rearward-facing car seat suitable for newborns and babies up to 13 kg. A super-comfy, premium infant carrier compatible with all Nuna premium pushchairs, the PIPA urbn has raised the bar in the car seat category, delivering a new standard of safety, ease and luxury for family travel.

Weighing in at an ultralight 3.3kg, it’s super easy to carry and lift even with your baby in situ. And thanks to its built-in ISOFIX system, it installs into taxis and cars within seconds. The portable infant car seat has a one-handed vehicle and pushchair release, so you won’t ever have to worry about any panicky moments at the end of a cab ride or mid-transition from stroller to car.

Premium infant carrier

As you’d expect from Nuna, the PIPA urbn is a premium product paying excellent attention to detail.

Its luxe leatherette carry handle looks the business and offers a secure grip, while Nuna’s signature Dream drape™ lets your little ones snooze uninterrupted on the go.

The Dream drape™ pulls down smoothly from the car seat’s canopy and attaches quietly with magnets, so your baby can feel safe and secure in their own cocoon. With a full-coverage UPF 50+ canopy and flip-out eyeshade and XL peek-a-boo window, they’re protected from the elements all year round.

Safest baby car seat

The PIPA urbn is jam-packed with safety features, giving you complete peace of mind. Its three-point harness with comfy shoulder and lower buckle covers tightens with one easy pull, while the seat’s Merino wool headrest and body insert supports growing babies.

Side Impact Protection covers your little one’s head, body and hips in the event of a crash, so you can rest assured your precious cargo is as safe as can be. The seat’s headrest incorporates patented Tailor tech™ memory foam for a comfortable custom fit, while lightweight, resilient material Aeroflex™ foam minimises the force transferred to baby by absorbing and diffusing energy.

Environmentally friendly

The seat provides environmentally friendly fabrics that are GREENGUARD Gold Certified. This means they are scientifically proven to meet some of the world’s most rigorous third-party chemical emission standards. They do not contribute to indoor air pollution or chemical exposure.

From fabric to foam and beyond, all materials used on the PIPA urbn are naturally flame resistant, containing no added harmful chemicals, making them Fire-Retardant (FR) free, so they’re much safer for your child.

Easy care

With machine-washable seat fabrics and inserts, it’s a no-brainer; you’ve got yourself a must-have baby product.
