Whimsy By Joie: The Wind-Up Baby Swing That Goes Wherever You Do

When you’re a new parent, you’ll take comfort wherever you can get it, especially if it doesn’t involve a plug socket, a power cord, or yet another set of batteries. Enter Whimsy by Joie, the genius wind-up baby swing that’s here to make soothing your little one simpler, calmer, and more sustainable.

Designed for families on the go, Whimsy can be set up anywhere. From the nursery to the kitchen or even Grandma’s house. Just turn the handle, and this smart little swing takes care of the rest, gently rocking your baby for up to 50 minutes. No wires, no noise, and no need to panic when the batteries die mid-nap.

Portable Comfort, Wherever You Go

At first glance, Whimsy looks like your typical baby swing, but Joie has given it a clever twist. It’s both a swing and a portable rocker, meaning it can adapt to whatever your day throws at you. When attached to the base, it becomes a classic swing with three soothing speeds and two gentle motion directions (front-to-back or side-to-side).

Need something that moves with you? No problem. The Whimsy is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Simply lift off the seat using the pivoting handle, and you’ve got a comfy little rocker that can go anywhere in the house. It’s that easy.

Snuggles, Style, and Soothing Combined

Everything about Whimsy is designed with baby’s comfort in mind. There’s a three-position recline, so your little one can lie back and snooze or sit up and watch you with wide-eyed curiosity. The plush infant insert and softly padded seat make it feel like a warm hug, while the SoftTouch™ five-point harness keeps them safe and secure.

The fabrics are super soft and organic, and breathable mesh panels allow air to flow, helping to keep your baby cool during summer naps and cosy through winter snuggles. There’s even a toy bar with two adorable plush pals to keep them entertained while you grab a (rare) moment of peace.

Smart, Sustainable, and Simple

We’re big fans of how Joie has combined function and sustainability here. Because the Whimsy doesn’t rely on batteries or electricity, it’s not only easier for parents but better for the planet, too. The design is slim enough to glide through doorways, and it’s easy to clean. Just pop the removable seat pad and infant support in the washing machine when needed. Et voila!

It’s practical, planet-conscious, and cleverly engineered to make family life that little bit easier.  We love how it brings together Joie’s signature craftsmanship with a fresh, eco-friendly approach.

Sometimes the simplest ideas really are the best.
