French company Famileo has launched in the UK on a mission to bring families closer, in just a few clicks! Famileo is a nifty platform that creates regular, personalised family newspapers from your uploaded photos, messages and news, that can either be emailed or printed and sent to loved ones. Famileo is already a huge hit in France, with over one million users keeping in touch through the joy of their very own family newspaper. It’s a fabulous way to share special days and the day-to-day with grandparents and relatives, whether they live round the corner or abroad.
We know that most grandparents these days are tech-savvy. But while they know their way around a WhatsApp group and a Facebook page, the joy of receiving family news in print is something that shouldn’t be underestimated.
What we love about Famileo is that it starts conversations, it unites generations of families, and it’s private to your own family and friendship groups, so you can choose who you share your news with. And the best bit? It’s SO easy for all the family to use.

One Famileo subscription is for the whole family. You can invite as many family members as you have to post messages and photos from their smartphone, tablet or PC and Famileo takes care of the rest, collating all of your wonderful news to create one single newspaper. If you have siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles and godparents, invite them all to your Famileo account, that way the grandparents get news from all of their nearest and dearest.
You can access Famileo from the comfort of your desktop, laptop or tablet, or from the ease of your phone – it couldn’t be simpler. We set our account up via our desktop, it takes just seconds to get started. Once you’ve set up your profile and invited family members to join and contribute, you can keep adding photos and captions to ‘the family wall’ as and when you want. The Famileo app allows you to quickly take and add photos directly or pick photos from your photo gallery, so you can easily share news as you go instead of having to do it all in one go at the end of the month (which you can do if it suits you better!)
Content can be uploaded in a matter of moments, and you don’t have to worry about any formatting. All family contributions are pieced together automatically to create a colour family gazette that will be read, kept and treasured forever. and your family gazette can be sent out by post at the frequency of your choice – whether it’s weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly – you can decide which suits you best.
Famileo family gazettes are produced in A4 format and can contain up to 30 messages, on a maximum of 16 pages. The layout is automatic and messages appear in the order they were posted by the family, unless you choose to pre-date them. A lot of thought has gone into the format of the Famileo newspaper, so everyone can easily share and read family news. In fact, the design has been studied and validated by occupational therapists, so it’s tried and tested for all ages to enjoy.
A fabulous subscription plan lets you choose how frequently your family newspaper is published. The gazettes are sent on Mondays, and you’ll always have up until the eve of the gazette’s publication to add any additional messages and photos from your busy weekend, so your family news is always hot off the press!
Famileo’s Family Kitty allows all family group members registered on Famileo to contribute to the subscription payment, so you can add any amount you want to and at any time you like! The subscription manager who entered his or her bank card details at the time of registration will then only be charged if the kitty balance is insufficient.
There are three Famileo subscriptions available and with a single subscription, you can include as many family members as you like. Postage included.
