Fashion Blogger Laura Wills Shares Her Style Secrets, Baby Essentials & What Life Is Like With 3 Children Under Three

Congratulations to The Fashion Bug Blog founder Laura Wills, who’s now pregnant with her number four. We take a look back on this interview published a year ago, which delves into Laura’s life with three children, her gorgeous jewellery collab and the fashion brands and bloggers we should be keeping an eye on.

Mila turned 3 not long ago and since then you’ve had two more children. What’s it like having three children under 3?

Hectic! When my youngest Luna was born my eldest was still 2 so I had three under three. It is definitely full-on at times but I always feel like it goes in waves – it can be almost eerily calm at times and I don’t even know what to do with myself but equally, you can have moments when all three lose it at the same time but you just deal with it. After three children I definitely think you are more relaxed in your approach but I have to say routine is the best thing I ever did – it breaks up the day and the girls always nap at the same time! I have always said I want a big family and feel so incredibly blessed that I have three amazing daughters!

You’re a bit of a hero of ours. How did you cope with the jump from 2 to 3?

That is so kind! I find the transition from 2-3 actually easier than 1-2 though – you are already used to multitasking and to looking after more than 1. The biggest change is probably the logistics. We just got the big V-class van as nothing else comfortably fits everyone – the days of cruising around in a small car are over! Also, it can be challenging dividing yourself between them all – making them all feel loved. I am still exclusively breastfeeding my youngest and its definitely not easy when you have two active toddlers that need your attention. I hired a nanny though which I didn’t want to do for a long long time but it’s been wonderful – allows me to have some one on one time with each of my girls.

We love your Atripoppe Baby Carrier! What baby products are you using this time around? Have things changed or moved on?

Artipoppe are the best!! There are few brands that so effortlessly fuse fashion and functionality but Artipoppe is one of them – I can’t get enough! Handed down some things from Mila – used the same Nursery Window moses basket for all my girls and always get so emotional when they outgrow it! They have beautiful linens you can just change them if you fancy a slightly different look with the basket. Luna probably has way less bits and bobs than the other girls – again by baby number three you realise you don’t need much when they are little!

Who are your current favourite bloggers to follow and why?

Blaire Edie for her amazing outfits and Thread Styling for all kinds of fashion inspo.

Tell us about your fantastic collaboration with Soru. How did it come about?

I came across Soru very early on in my blog and the girls were always SO lovely to me! I was obsessed with their jewellery and always wearing it and Francesca (one of the sisters) and I talk often over Instagram. I don’t even remember which one of us came up with the idea but it just felt like such a natural progression – we have grown our brands together over the past three years. We are totally on the same page when it comes to the designs and I hope to do lots more with them!

What are your favourite high-end and high street fashion brands at the moment?

High end Loewe, Rasario, Nanushka, Khaite. High-street I always love Zara and &OtherStories but also loving a brand called Pixie Market right now.

What is your staple look this season?

Some kind of leather in the daytime (love leather trousers, skirts and dresses!) and anything with a big bow (the Erdem belt is amazing!)

Your hair always looks immaculate. What’s your secret?

Extensions and a good blowdry. Honestly having tape extentions was the best beauty related thing I have ever done. The rest of my beauty regime is actually pretty low maintenance but every 8 weeks I get my extensions re-done I am totally hooked – has given my hair a new lease of life and boosts my confidence!

Tell us about your typical day.

We all wake up around 6:30 – Anoushka is an early riser. My husband usually has breakfast with my eldest and second daughter whilst I feed our baby and have a bit of time with just her. I drop the girls at nursery and usually go for a walk with my baby. I have always tried to do the majority of my work whilst the girls sleep and otherwise spend as much time with them at possible – it’s even more important for me now that my eldest two are in nursery as I don’t see them as much in the week! After nursery, I like to just focus on them – take them to a playground or play at home. They have dinner at around 5:30 followed by a bath and bedtime stories – Mila and Anoushka love to have these together. Luna usually goes to sleep a little after her sisters as I am currently nursing her to sleep and again I love the one on one bonding time at the end of the day.

Now describe your ideal day.

Spending it on the beach in Ibiza. Sun, my babies, good food. Trying to convince my husband we should move there!

Tell us your favourite family hang out in London.

Kensington Gardens. Love walking there and there is a great playground as well as the big pond where the girls love looking at ducks!

Finally, you previously summed yourself up as ‘Loyal, a bit of a dreamer, and feisty at times!’ Does this still ring true?

100% – just probably even more feisty now I have children! I am insanely protective over them!
