While it can feel like the more product you use, the better, this can actually be the opposite. Using too much product can actually make cleaning more difficult. It will make your job harder as there will be more residue and foam to remove, which will require more water to rinse away.
Spraying your surfaces with disinfectant but not waiting for 5 minutes to allow them to work properly. Read the instructions on the back of the product you are using and follow the exact amount of time specified – different products can vary. In order for antibacterial sprays to be effective, you need to spritz the surface, wait and then wipe.
A popular trend on social media is to mix colourful cleaning products to make aesthetic satisfying videos, however copying this at home can be potentially lethal. Cleaning products are chemicals and mixing them together can release harmful gases.
Regularly cleaning appliances like your washing machine, dishwasher & vacuum cleaner will not only ensure they work effectively and keep them smelling fresh, but will also prolong their lifespan.
Clean top to bottom to avoid dust and dirt falling onto clean floors. Dust ceilings, walls and surfaces then work your way down, finishing by vacuuming and mopping your floors last.
