Magical Leaf Rubbing Busy Bag That Lasts for Years | Nanny Anita | My Baba

Doing leaf rubbings is such a child friendly craft and one that is easy to make into a reusable busy bag.

Make sure you follow my busy bag board on Pinterest for more ideas.  Don’t forget to save the pin for later.

To make your own reusable leaf rubbings you will need:

  • Leaves – the fresher the better
  • Paper
  • Crayons or pencils
  • Contact paper or if you have access to one – a laminator

Once you have collected your leaves put them under something heavy to press them.

If you have access to one then use a laminator to laminate them, if not then put the leaf on some card stock (you want the veiny side to stick up) and cover with contact paper.

Then when your little ones want to use them, cover them with some paper and use crayons or pencils to rub over them.

You don’t have to use just leaves, you could use tree bark, grass, flowers or even things like gift tags (as long as it has an raised surface).
