Every autumn I find that my pockets and bags are filled with the remains of leaves that my charges have given to me. This year I have been much better at pressing the leaves as soon as we get home. That way I can use the leaves in crafts. BB and I have been turning our leaves into leafy hedgehog pictures.
Make sure you follow my autumn crafts board on Pinterest for more ideas. Don’t forget to save the pin for later.
I find it easier to use flat leaves when doing crafts with them, which is why I put them under a heavy book for a day or so.
On your piece of paper draw your hedgehog’s face.
Then using plenty of glue, stick on the leaves for spins. Beech leaves make great leaves to use for making the leafy hedgehog pictures. They come in a variety of yellow-brownish tones and they have the spiky appearance. Plus out of all the leaves we used they were the easiest to stick down.
Finally add some little feet and pom pom for the hedgehogs’ nose.
