Leonora’s Little Shop Of Luxuries: An Aladdin’s Cave For Mamas

Since I was a young girl, I have always wanted to have my own little shop. When I was 8, I had a little hut on the 9th fairway at our local golf club, selling cans of Coke and bacon butties. Fast forward a few decades and I have moved online. We launched the My Baba shop in May 2020 and I have been overwhelmed by all the support from our followers. In essence, it’s a curated shop with lovely little brands that I have fallen in love with during the years of running My Baba.

Leonora Bamford’s shop

Because my children range from a little one all the way up to tweens, it’s a bit of an Aladdin’s cave. Whether you need a present for a newborn, goodies for a new mama or simply a gift for a child, we have got you covered. We have a small selection of Rachel Riley babygros and the heart one is my favourite newborn present. There are Kit & Kin organic bonnets and muslins from Etta Loves and From Babies with Love, not to mention the limited edition Nibbling x My Baba teething rattle. We even stock Hevea’s eco-friendly dog teethers and pacifiers!

Our followers are always asking for good ideas and sensible solutions for picnics and teatimes and that is why we have my favourite Munchkin Miracle Eco trainer cups, Blafre reusable steel drinking bottles and Daylesford’s eco-friendly, wooden, rabbit plate.

I have always been crazy about Cotton Twist and I love her little make-your-own bracelet sets and superhero masks which range from a few pounds. My kids are very into their art and I love the Kitpas eco-friendly crayons which can be used on windows and teamed up with our gorgeous Daylesford squirrel smock illustrated by Hugo Guiness.

I am a huge fan of Spots & Stripes and Lizzie Loves natural remedies, so whether you need to stay focused at school or need a natural remedy to help children relax and unwind, we have got some fantastic products.

Perfect for tweens are our small range of Tiffy and Tallulah pamper kits, Ecostardust biodegradable glitter and Miss Patisserie’s vegan bath bombs and crumbles, which are a must for any birthday box.

Last year I got really into my cross stitch and I love the positive cross stitch messages from Cotton Clara. Whilst I am busy doing them, my little one loves his Moon Picnic Owl Craft activity.

Launching in lockdown, we have obviously got a huge selection of children’s masks and also adult masks. The Dinoski reusable face masks are absolutely gorgeous and we even had the Bamford seamstress knock up some limited edition, vintage Liberty print masks. I wanted a reasonably priced, antibacterial mask, which we have also got for adults and children. Hand santisiers have become a bit of a staple on our school bags and we stock the Gelpop Emojis, which I love.

For the month of June, we’re going to be popping up in The Cotswolds at Talbot Court in Stow-on-the-Wold, so come and see us and spread the word. We are amongst some really lovely brands and I can’t wait to be a part of it.

Heelys Rolls Into Spring With New Collection

Heelys, the original two-in-one wheely shoe launched in 2000, is preparing for the upcoming Easter holidays with its new spring collection. Ideal for encouraging an active, healthy lifestyle, the stylish designs will ensure kids (big and small) will roll through the holidays with ease.

The collection consists of 19 designs, including three brand new Heelys shapes: Reserve Ex, Reserve Low and Pro 20 Half Flood. The Reserve Ex has a basketball shoe style, while the Reserve Low and Pro 20 Half Flood tap into the current Y2K trend for an extra chunky sole.

Match your Heelys to your mood, with designs split across two main aesthetics – a darker colour scheme vs. a lighter, spring-inspired palette. Think camouflage print, graffiti text and paint drips contrasting with pastel colours, tie-dye, metallic laces, foil and rainbow print.

Available in the UK and Europe on the Heelys website and retailers, the collection is available in sizes C12-7 across single or two-wheeled styles. RRPs range from £49.99 to £69.99.
