I can’t be the only one in a total muddle about to wear at the moment, can I? It’s the cooler weather that sweeps in as soon as the new school term starts that throws me, as the sun is still shining but the temperatures are up and down. I moved to the country earlier this year, and I’ve been on the look-out for outerwear that’s not only ultra cool, but practical, waterproof, and will last me throughout the autumn, into winter, right through to next spring.
TROY London is the new go-to for contemporary British outerwear and wardrobe staples. Their pieces are practical, yet offer a little more in the way of luxury. I love the khaki greens and browns that dominate their collection – their colour palette is understated, yet fabulously chic. The designers pay great attention to detail and all the fabrics used are of the highest quality.
TROY’S wax parkas feel super lightweight and their made from 100% cotton milled in England. The smell of the dry wax finish reminds me of my childhood and the subtle drawstring waist gives the parka a great shape. I love the hoods and the fact that the parkas are fully waterproof. There’s a definite urban appeal to the clothing which puts every item in the collection bang on trend.
It might sound silly, but I am just so excited to have found the coat that has literally made my Autumn/Winter wardrobe. I wear my TROY parka pretty much every day, whether I am dropping the kids off at school, walking the dogs or popping back to town for meetings. It’s incredibly versatile and I feel great wearing it.
Here are my top picks from this season’s collection.
