The My Baba Measure: What’s Hot This Week

From baby carriers and baby monitors to pasta delivery and healthy eating advice, here’s what the My Baba team are loving this week.

SLEEP: Shnuggle’s Air Bedside Crib

From newborn to two years, the Air Bedside Crib grows with your baby. It begins as a cosy and safe crib space for your newborn then transforms into a cot-bed as your little one gets bigger. We like that it helps you avoid any sleep space transition issues that can happen around the six-month mark when you have to move your child to a larger sleep space. Another great feature is its adjustable legs for a gentle incline which is brilliant for soothing babies with colic or reflux.

STYLE: Cybex by Karolina Kurkova

Supermum and model Karolína Kurková has launched a fashion collection with Cybex, the German stroller, baby carrier and car seat brand. The Cybex by Karolina Kurkova collection comprises of Karolina’s fashion-forward take on the luxurious Cybex Priam stroller, a 3-in-1 travel system, and the Cybex Mios, a more compact 3-in-1 travel system. FOOD: Pasta Evangelists’ pasta delivery service

Think HelloFresh but pasta — freshly-made, artisan pasta dishes — and you’ll understand the concept of Pasta Evangelists, the Italian pasta delivery service dropping ragù, gnocchi and truffled tortellini off for dinner across the UK. When a box from Pasta Evangelists landed on my doorstep, I unpacked two fresh dishes — orecchiette with pistachio pasta and malfalde with sausage ragù — cooked things up in the space of five minutes and it was on my plate in six. It’s delicious, GBBO and Giles Coren-approved, and has a wide range of dishes to choose from each week. Why wouldn’t you subscribe?

SUSTAINABLITY: Mama Bamboo’s Eco-Nappies

Bamboo is one of the most sustainable resources on earth. It’s durable, soft, and naturally antibacterial. No wonder it made sense to Mama Bamboo to launch a range of eco-nappies and wipes made of the stuff. The nappies are breathable and temperature-regulating against baby’s skin and are free from chlorine bleaching, alcohol and other chemicals that are often added to nappies. Mama Bamboo products are kind to the environment too with their wipes being 100% biodegraded within six months — now that’s what we call eco-conscious!

BABY CARRYING: Boba’s Bamboo Wrap

Some of us prefer carriers with buckles and straps, while others prefer to opt for a classic wrap carrier. The Bamboo Boba Wrap is a lightweight baby wrap made from a mix of cotton and bamboo, a material combination that helps to keep baby cool in summer and warm in winter. Bamboo also provides a natural UV filter to keep your baby protected from the sun.

INNOVATION: The Motorola Halo+ baby monitor

This isn’t just a baby monitor, this is a jam-packed, multifunctional piece of kit, complete with camera, app and expert advice. The device itself is a portable camera with an arm that connects to the side of your crib, giving you a bird’s (or parent’s) eye view of your baba. A portable parent display gives you a crystal-clear view of your baby. You can speak into the device, like an intercom, and your child can talk back. Ellie unboxed the device and gave us a full run-down of the devices features here.

GIFTING: The Beatrix Potter collection

The world-famous Peter Rabbit made his debut in 1902 in The Tales of Peter Rabbit and has been delighting young readers ever since. Enesco has held a licence to produce genuine Beatrix Potter merchandise for over 30 years. From figurines and plush toys, homeware and nursery interiors to everything in between, find a gorgeous Peter Rabbit gift for your little one online now.
