This July marks the launch of b_together, a new family club located in the heart of St John’s Wood.
Founded by Maggie Bolger, a pioneer in the child development space, b_together offers a thoughtful, beautifully-designed, multi-faceted family destination and neighbourhood hang-out for all age groups.
Taking inspiration from Maggie’s experiences of parenting her own 4 children, and working with hundreds of families to shape this new concept, b_together offers something new for the entire family, from toddlers to teens, and parents and grandparents.
A trailblazer in the industry, b_together sets a new benchmark for child-friendly environments in London and beyond. Located on St John’s Wood High Street, b_together includes an on-site nursery, AT Feast brasserie, eco-led retail area, meeting spaces, bookable workspace, studios for workshops and classes, children’s soft play zones, a designated members’ space and an apartment for short stays, all situated across four floors.

We love the revamped Explore+ BuddyPhones for kids. If you’re looking for safe headphones for kids that offer a perfect fit, the Explore+ by BuddyPhones are a brilliant choice. The volume-limiting circuitry caps loudness at 85db to protect your child’s hearing, and the detachable BuddyCable has a built-in microphone and control button for call and playback functions.
The Explore+ are fabulous for little heads, and offer lots of room for growth, whatever your child’s age. Designed to be transportable, they’re super-durable and fold easily, so you can simply pack them into the carry case and slip them into your bag.
What we love most about BuddyPhones is that they’re available in six super-cool colours your kids will love. Your child can even customise their headphones using the pack of decorative stickers that comes in the box.

Based in Bristol, the designer and founder Phoebe Song creates pieces that are timeless and irresistibly gorgeous whilst being practical and gender-neutral. You won’t see any diggers, ducks or elephants in tutus – these are important clothes for very important (little) people. “I am a trained psychologist who works with young adults who experience body image issues – I want to change that with clothing from a young age, giving body confidence and zero expectations for how girls or boys should look and focusing on comfort and freedom.”
Expect beautiful silhouettes as well as comfortable classics, all made using the softest 100% organic fibres, and be reassured that nothing is wasted. By making pieces to order, by hand, and by creating accessories to match, Phoebe uses up every last bit of fabric.
Phoebe makes new pieces when inspiration strikes, which means new pieces at regular intervals rather than releasing one big collection a few times a year.

The Mindfulness Corners are designed to help children stay calm and relaxed throughout the day, while helping them to become adept at dealing with their emotions. Primary schools and parents can enter the competition to win a Mindfulness Corner for their chosen school, from which 200 winners will be selected. Four special Gold Prize winners, hand-picked by competition judge Sophie Ellis-Bextor, will also receive a year’s supply of the latest Yoto cards. All the final winners will be announced during the week of 13th September.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor said: “Helping children to develop a toolkit to deal with everyday emotions and the impact of lockdown is crucial. This partnership with Yoto is something very close to my heart, having young children myself I can see the real benefits of practicing mindfulness with them and getting them into the habit of making such positive daily rituals away from the screen.”

The other babies notice that Dilly is different but soon accept her and love her different ways of doing things. The adults aren’t sure though – they love how all the penguins are the same. Can the younger penguins convince their parents that there’s space for Dilly? And that positive change can be a good thing? A charming story of acceptance and change.
