b_together’s creative summer camps for little humans aged 1-8

The summer holidays are here! And who doesn’t love the holidays?! Great weather, quality family time, long-awaited adventures to pastures new. But sometimes holidays can be stressful… juggling little-people, entertaining, thinking up new stimulating experiences and catching up with friends and possibly maintaining demanding jobs. It’s exhausting just thinking about it. Enter b_together summer camps!

Running every week until September, b_together’s camps will take place in their stunning childcare space and creative studios. Kids will also get the chance to enjoy the outdoors, exploring the surrounding areas of St John’s Wood and Regents Park. Activities are all themed daily in line with b_together’s bespoke curriculum Make+DO, so not only will they be super fun, they’ll help your little people learn without them even realising!

b_together helps children build their confidence, use their imaginations, craft their own masterpieces and take part in cooperative and creative learning experiences. Common activities include cook-offs, mad science experiments, messy art studio sessions, and a range of sports. The stuff of holiday dreams!

Empowering Children’s Wellbeing at Wilderness Festival

Happy Marlo is on a mission to empower little superheroes one breath, tap, and sound bath at a time. The children’s wellness brand offers the best in emotional health tools, created exclusively for 3 to 11-year olds. The festival focuses on three specific healing modalities – breathwork, emotional freedom technique (often described as tapping), and sound healing. Happy Marlo’s qualified practitioners deliver sessions both digitally and in-person, helping children to feel calmer, happier, and more positive.

“Having personally experienced how effective these techniques are as an adult, I knew they were ripe for tailoring and bringing directly to children to help them navigate the inevitable ups and downs in their young lives” said Rebekah Clark, Happy Marlo’s Founder.

Happy Marlo will be making its festival debut at Wilderness Festival on Saturday 5th August in The Sanctuary.

The Perfect Ritual Set for Stretch Marks, Joone

A duo of complementary textures for the same cocooning ritual, Joone’s set contains The Perfect Stretch Marks oil and The Perfect Stretch Marks cream. Designed for pregnant women, these organic cosmetics are designed to be used from the very first month of pregnancy to prevent stretch marks, and are also compatible with breastfeeding.

Musk rose oil is known to repair the skin and improve the appearance of stretch marks and scars, as it accelerates the regeneration of skin cells. Shea butter is known for its moisturising properties and to reduce the appearance of existing scars and stretch marks.

Limited Edition Range from Childs Farm

Childs Farm’s products are undergoing a temporary transformation! This August, the much-loved farm characters will be replaced by their para-athletic counterparts across a limited edition line-up of four hero products. The range will be available exclusively in Sainsbury supermarkets, the first Paralympic-only sponsor, who have generated national support for ParalympicsGB since London 2012.

The campaign is being supported by Clare Balding OBE and Natasha Baker MBE, and the products will be available in Sainsbury’s stores across the UK from the 11th August to 31st August.

NEW Podcast Ep, The JelliePod

Guest Ep: 5 IVF Cycles, SERC, Egg Donors, And A Devastating Miscarriage, The JelliePod

The JelliePod team comprises My Baba’s editor Ellie Thompson and her husband Jamie. This week, they welcome 30-year-old Natalie who joins the show to talk about her IVF/TTC journey.

Natalie and her partner went through five rounds of IVF, three NHS journies and two private rounds with an egg donor. Natalie was also diagnosed with SERC (a little-known condition called smooth endoplasmic reticulum clusters).

Natalie talks about how she struggled with the prospect of not having children as IVF cycles continue to fail, and how she came to terms with using an egg donor, and their decision to have egg donor treatment within the UK. Natalie talks about how she found counselling helpful ahead of treatment.

Trigger warning: the journey involves a devastating miscarriage that lasted months, involving two lots of surgeries as well as some personal advice on how to come to terms with the loss of a baby.

Toys Of The Week

Casdon’s range of laundry and cleaning toys are brilliant tools for role play.

The Electronic Washer is just the job for little ones who like to ‘help out’ with the laundry.  Mini hands can easily open the front-loading door and place the washing inside.  The powder drawer pulls out ready for the imaginary detergent to be added and there are lots of buttons to press! Children will love having the option to select one of the two wash and spin speeds, and once the light-up ‘on’ button is selected, the authentic sounds will commence.  The Casdon Washing machine is available in grey or pink, and also comes with a little laundry basket and a pretend washing powder box for realistic role play.

The Ironing Set includes an ironing board, child-sized Morphy Richards iron and airer, everything your little one needs to get the job done. With a wooden top and metal legs, the ironing board has two heights and a resting tray for the iron.  The folding clothes airer comes with four hangers, so all laundry can be sorted and hung up, too! Plus, the ironing board and airer both fold-down for easy storage!

Casdon’s replica Dyson’s are also fabulous toys for teaching kids essential life skills as they get to grips with the “housework”!

Book Of The Week

Where Are You…? Wonderbly

Perfect for curious kids, Where Are You…? reminds us of the popular series of children’s puzzle books, Where’s Wally, but with one huge difference. It’s personalised, making this the ultimate kids’ book.

The illustrations are insane, and there’s a plot that takes your child on a wild and wonderful journey, exploring six alternative universes. Along the way, they’ll delight at spotting different versions of themselves, with oodles of other fun and engaging challenges throughout the story.

All of Wonderbly’s books make the most wonderful keepsakes, and it’s easy to why this one is much loved by kids and adults alike.
