My Baba Measure: What’s Hot This Week

All-new Echo Dot Kids, Amazon

We’re loving Amazon’s new Echo Dot Kids. The new child-friendly smart home device has been dressed in two super-cite animal personas that look great whether they’re in your living room or your kitchen.

Echo Dot Kids is, as you’d expect, jam-packed full of clever features. Kids can ask Alexa questions (of course!), set alarms, listen to their favourite music, read stories and call approved family and friends – ALL with extensive controls to give parents peace of mind.

The best bit – Echo Dot Kids includes a year of Amazon Kids+, access to thousands of hours of kid-friendly Audible books, interactive games, and education skills from kids’ favourites such as Harry Potter and Disney.

Parental controls

Parents can set daily time limits, filter explicit songs and review activity in the Amazon Parent Dashboard. It’s been set up to protect your family’s privacy, with multiple layers of privacy control including a Mic Off button. You can also view and delete your voice history in the Alexa app at any time, or choose not to have your voice recordings saved.

Banjo Robinson

Banjo Robinson is a magical penpal subscription service for kids 5+.

With a little help from parents, Banjo sends highly-personalised letters twice a month from his world travels. Kids are encouraged to write back and leave their letters under the sofa for collection, in the magic realism tradition of Santa and the Tooth Fairy.

The first letter includes a big, beautiful world map poster.  All subsequent letters – which are written by bestselling children’s authors – include stickers, a local recipe, a country guide, reply stationary and more.

A Banjo Robinson subscription aims to spark a passion for travel, culture and adventure, promote self-esteem, empathy and communication through creative writing, and of course, encourage screen-free, creative time.

Slanted, Crab and Pointed Tweezers, Rubis

Which shaped tweezers should you be using? Swiss experts Rubis have designed three go-to tweezers for all your beauty needs. All of Rubis’ tweezers are made from resilient stainless steel so you don’t have to worry about them rusting or corroding.

Slanted: offer effortless grip and are ergonomically shaped to help you achieve immaculate brows. Brilliant at catching stray hairs and eradicating growth at the roots to keep you groomed for longer.

Crab: these should be your go-to if you’re struggling to tweeze really fine hair, and they’re also brilliant for grabbing short think stubble hair. Ideal for plucking brows and hairs on your face and body, including facial beard hairs – so be warned if you don’t want to share!

Pointed: if precision is what you’re after, the pointed shaped tweezers by Rubis will be your favourite. Perfect for ingrown hairs and splinters whilst being kind to your skin – this pair of tweezers is worth keeping in the first aid kit.
