My Baba Measure / 19 March, 2020 / Christina Walter
From the latest LEGO toys and toilet roll alternatives to fantastic new sustainable packaging from Mama Mio, here is a list of the products the team at My Baba are loving this week.
We were so excited at the big reveal by Mama Mio this week. They’ve always been one of our favourite brands, so we were thrilled that their relaunch involved the roll-out fantastic new, sustainable packaging.
The new tubes use an average of 26% less plastic, and everything but the pump (which we have on good authority that they’re working on that part!) can be recycled in your standard recycling bins. What a stand against waste!
AND, just when you thought the range couldn’t get much better, the collection is now vegan-friendly using 100% natural fragrances. The improved formulations are packed with plant-based actives including a unique Omega-Rich Skin Stretch Complex to help protect against stretch-marks.
Check out this gorgeous new comfort knit collection from aden + anais, featuring cotton-rich essentials in four hand-drawn designs. The super-soft, breathable baby fabric used in this range has just the right amount of stretch and is designed to keep your baby feeling comfortable and secure.
The collection includes a swaddle, a knitted gown and hat.
Toy Association has awarded Toy Of The Year to Star Wars LEGO.
The STEM/STEAM Toy of the Year Award went to the Star Wars Boost Droid Commander set, which incorporates coding along with block-building. What we love about this particular category is that it looks to honour toys that encourage children to develop skills in the core disciplines of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Ella’s Kitchen has launched its first-ever dairy-free baby food range for little ones and we say HOORAY!
The new range consists of creamy coconut milk dairy-free yoghurt alternatives perfect to support your CMPA babas through weaning. They’ve so far launched three products, the Banana Yummy Yogurt Alternative, Pear and Fig Porridge, and Rice Pudding with Bananas and Strawberries.
Ella’s Kitchen is the first to create a dedicated dairy-free yoghurt alternative, designed specifically for little tums, and as a CMPA mama I’m hoping that other baby brands will follow suit. Good work, Ella’s!

It’s so important to prioritise your well-being during these uncertain times. One thing’s certain, we’re all going to be spending a little more time at home for a while, and if you’re thinking of getting set up so you can exercise from home, check out the range of yoga mats by Liforme.
Firstly – we LOVE their colour range, you can go bold with orange or pink or red, or opt for a more understated grey, white or purple. The mats are made from sustainably sourced, body-kind and biodegradable materials, and they’re PVC-free. To use, the mat is heavy that your average mat, so it won’t curl up at the ends. It’s very well cushioned, giving you the ultimate in grip and stability to practice even the most difficult of poses with ease.
What we love most about these mats is not only the quality of the product but the ethos behind the business – they are a truly environmentally conscious brand operating with ethical supply chains and business practices.
For the second season running, Bobux has collaborated with The Bonnie Mob and produced a limited collection of gorgeous Soft Soles for little toes. They’ve created some adorable designs perfect for spring, our favourite is the bumble bee.
Carlo Collodi’s Adventures of Pinocchio has been a much-loved classic for generations and was one of my favourite films as a child.
Harper Design has published this stunning illustrated edition of the much-loved story. Reinvented by MinaLima, the award-winning design studio behind the graphics for the Harry Potter films, this special edition is packed with commissioned artwork and interactive features. There’s a Pinocchio puppet with clothing, various finger puppets, a small theatre for a puppet show, a court deck with Pinocchio behind sliding bars, as well as a fold-out shark revealing Pinocchio and Geppetto inside. Incredible! I think this would make a wonderful christening gift.
Debenhams has just launched new kidswear brand Lola & Maverick. The collection of clothing includes everything from occasion dressing to everyday wear, making it easy to shop for just about any occasion. It’s a premium kidswear range that’s set to attract both the younger and older children with its modern, colourful collection for spring.
Poco Nido has released its SS20 Midi and Mighty leather shoe collection. Landing with an explosion of colour, the range features the brand’s utterly unique laser-etched designs, preparing tiny toes for a multitude of truly stylish summer adventures!
Made from high quality, chrome-free, soft leather, the collection offers ultimate comfort for indoor and outdoor wear. The flexible yet sturdy TPU soles and soft leather upper combo offers toddlers the ideal amount of comfort and support, while the different style options help parents find the perfect shape shoe for their child.
