My Baba Measure: What’s Hot This Week

From sleep clinics and interior design to FaceTime photography and new snacks for toddlers, here’s a quick round-up of our favourite discoveries this week.

1thousandays

1thousandays focuses on combining interior design solutions with child development theories to create the perfect home learning environment for your toddler.

A family-run business, they believe the first one thousand days of a child’s life is crucial to their holistic development, and that every child should have to best support to grow into independent and capable beings.

The aim of 1thousandays is to help you make the most of that time.

At the moment, they’re offering online consultations to meet parents and chat about their children.

You’ll be able to discuss in-depth what you would like to achieve in relation to your child’s development and wellbeing.

They’ll draw up a profile of your child using EYFS guidelines and Montessori areas of development. With home visits currently out of the question, 1thousandays will work with you online to offer and implement interior design solutions, mood boards and developmental milestones.

Right now, 1thousandays are currently offering free online consultations and offer a 10% discount on our service for MYBABA readers! Quote ‘MYBABA’ when you call or email the team.

Horizon Moonlight, Silver Cross

The NEW Horizon Moonlight from Silver Cross is a great urban travel system that only needs one seat. It includes a newborn babynest that creates a lie-flat pram, removing the need for a carrycot. When your child is ready, all you need to do is remove the nest and et voila! The Horizon becomes a reversible pushchair suitable up to 25kg.

Light and compact, it makes a great urban travel system but its large multi-terrain wheels and puncture-proof tyres are also suited to country adventures. Complete the travel system with the Silver Cross Dream or Simplicity infant carriers.

The one-seat solution from birth to toddler by Silver Cross is available from the 5th of June.

Toddler Puffs, Organix

Of course, we had to tell you the latest Gruffalo news. Yep, Organix has just made your little one’s snack-time dreams come true with the launch of their great-tasting Gruffalo Claws range.

Suitable from 12 months and inspired by the nation’s favourite woodland friend, the snacks come in three yummy flavours and are shaped like Gruffalo claws.

Move over, Monster Munch, the Gruffalo has arrived!

Batelle, The Remote Sleep School

Learn how to put your baby or child to bed in under 5 minutes, within a week with help from Batelle, the remote sleep school.

Batelle offers one on one coaching within a 7-day training programme. They provide step by step instructions on what to do, as well as 24-hour support to enable you to get the best results. Their focus is on getting your child to sleep through the night with no dramas, and to tolerate and even enjoy time spent on their own in their safe sleeping space in the morning.

Solution for Stretch Marks, Science of Skin

The Solution for Stretch Marks cream has been developed carefully by skin and scarring experts. This super moisturising formula contains active natural ingredients, including green tea extract, microalgae and vitamins C and E to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

It can be used on stretch marks caused by weight gain and growth spurts as well as those that commonly happen during pregnancy.

Menstrual Cups, Saalt

Tampons and sanitary products are both expensive and bad for the environment – this we all know.

Is this the answer? The Menstrual Cup from Saalt collects instead of absorbing your period, and the number crunchers there reckon it’ll save you around £1000 during its life-span. Each cup lasts ten years and can be worn for up to 12 hours at a time.

The Saalt menstrual cup is made from natural non-toxic and odour free medical grade soft silicone. It’s been designed to mould perfectly to your body shape and even helps maintain the body’s natural pH balance.

Tripp Trapp Springtime Colours, Stokke

Tripp Trapp has launched two new gorgeous colours for their iconic Tripp Trapp chair: introducing warm red and soft mint! If you’re thinking about buying a high chair, the Tripp Trapp is one that will grow with your child, and its slick and clever design will look fabulous in any home.

FaceTime photo sessions with lockdown babies, Schryver Photo

Making the most of digital technology during lockdown! Professional family and newborn photographer Helen Schryver is offering baby photo sessions over FaceTime.
All you need is an iPhone 6 or later to enable remote photographs. Helen will guide you where to put your phone so Helen can capture the images. It’s the next best thing to having a proper photoshoot, and all within the rules of lockdown.
The sessions are available to families with babies one year and under. Helen is raising money for domestic abuse charity Refuge, by asking for contributions from parents.
If your baby is one and under, you can book your shoot here.
