Spending New Year’s Eve with the kids this year? We know it’s still a couple of months away, but tickets always sell out months in advance so here’s your September heads up!
If your children are old enough, London’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks is an event not to be missed. Hundreds of thousands of people from around the world descend on London for this New Year’s celebration. We understand it isn’t for everyone though as it’s very loud and busy, so you can always tune in and watch the display on TV!

Go one step up from joining the crowds on Victoria Embankment and cruise down the Thames watching London’s famous fireworks display. Welcome in the new year with a glass of Champagne, a four-course dinner and a live band. This event is suitable for children ages 5+. Book tickets very soon as this cruise always sells out fast.

Snow White returns to the West End for a Christmas spectacular starring Dawn French on her pantomime debut. The classic kids’ tale will be filled with sparkle and packed with laughter, music, special effects and theatrical magic. Show begins 8 December 2018 until 13 January 2019.

Returning for its sixth year, Kew promise that their winter trail is bigger and better than ever with over a million twinkling lights and thousands of laser beams. New for 2018 are the moonlit woods and Laser Garden. Christmas at Kew begins 22 November 2018 until 5 January 2019.

Get your skates on and end 2018 with a perfect winter day out at Somerset House. Choose from day and evening sessions and spend some time with the family skating about. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Après-skate, you’ll be able to relax in Fortnum’s Lodge for a drink or snack.

With the animals safely tucked up in bed, it’s time to explore the fairy-tale trail around the zoo with larger-than-life wild animal sculptures rising into the night sky and paths draws you through the Light Vortex and into contrasting tunnels. It’ll be magical! Begins 22 Nov 2018 until 1 Jan 2019.
