How to Make a Paper Plate Penguin

We made many paper plate animals over the years; they are super easy crafts for little ones to do.  Plus, they really don’t need many supplies.  During one of our home-schooling mornings BB and I made some paper plate penguins.

Make sure you check out my paper plate board on Pinterest for more ideas.  Don’t forget to save the pin for later.

To make your own paper plate penguin you will need:

  • Paper plates
  • Black paint
  • White and orange paper
  • Scissors

Start out my cutting out some white eyes and a tummy, then an orange beak and feet.

Paint the plate black.

When the paint has dried, stick on the tummy, eyes, beak, and feet.

Finally add some black pupils to the eyes.

As I said it is a simple craft to do.  It didn’t take too much time to complete, maybe 15-20 minutes.

We had been reading an Octonauts book the previous day about a Penguin race, so this seemed a nice tie in.  Now BB wants to make to make a polar bear one to be Captain Barnacle.
