Parental Control, Ep 57: Guilty Mother Talks Mum Guilt, Work-Life Balance And Bringing Up Confident Kids

My Baba’s Editor Ellie Thompson welcomes Guilty Mother blogger and tech entrepreneur Jo Wimble-Groves to the show to discuss mum-guilt and how best to juggle the work-family life balance.

Jo also chats about what we can do to bring up confident children, and how we can help our kids overcome negative feelings of poor self-esteem and low self-worth. We focus in particular on daughters, following the launch of Jo’s new book, Rise of the Girl: Seven Empowering Conversations To Have With Your Daughter, and the importance of getting girls into activities that will help build life skills such as teamwork, communication, and resilience. The episode also touches on the impact that social media and the so-called ‘Khardashian’ culture is having on our children.
