Clinical psychologist Dr Caroline Boyd has an MA in classics, an MSc in psychology, and a doctorate in clinical psychology. She has over 10 years’ experience working in the NHS and mental health settings, and specialises in supporting new parents in her independent psychology practice, Parent Therapy Hub.
Dr Caroline Boyd’s new book Mindful New Mum supports new mothers with the highs and lows of motherhood. With pressure on mums to parent perfectly and “bounce back” effortlessly and unsupported, all amid sleep deprivation, and brain, body, and relationship changes, it’s no surprise women struggle.
In Mindful New Mum, clinical psychologist Dr Caroline Boyd offers gentle, realistic advice with a focus on mindful compassion.
The book is bursting with advice on meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, visualisations, affirmations, baby massage, aromatherapy, natural remedies and treatments, nutrition and yoga. Techniques are shown step by step, grounded in their scientific benefits, but presented clearly, concisely and supportively.
Mindful New Mum is available on Amazon.
