While I am not advocating using plastic bottles, if you do happen to have a couple of them lying around then this plastic bottle wind spinner is the perfect way to upcycle them.
Make sure you follow my craft board on Pinterest for more ideas. Don’t forget to save the pin for later.
Colour the bottle in.
Next cut of the bottom of the bottle. Then cut up towards the neck of the bottle in a spiral pattern. The tightness of the spirals will really depend on how big cut them. With one I made really thick spirals, which meant it kept its bottle shape. On the other one they were very thin spirals which made it dangle down more.
Create a hole in the lid using a sharp pair of scissors, then thread a piece of string through the hole and tie it off.
Screw the lid back on and hang it up outside.
When there is a wind it should spin nicely. I really love how you get a coloured shadow from it.
