I love a good metal brain teaser, like the ones you get in Christmas crackers. I have passed many an hour doing them. My friend got me one from my 21st birthday, and we spent the entire time we were in line for a ride at Thorpe Park figuring it out (it was the middle of the summer holidays, so it was quite a while). This rope and bead brain teaser, takes a few minutes to put together, but keeps kids quiet for a while. I used it with EC while waiting for an appointment, which stopped the fighting going on between him and BB.
Make sure you follow my brain teaser board on Pinterest for more ideas. Don’t forget to save the pin for later.
Cut your piece of cardboard into a small rectangular shape.
Make 3 holes; 2 at the side and 1 in the middle.
Fold the string in half and push the middle of the string through the middle hole. Put the ends of the string through the middle of the string that is now hanging down through the middle hole. This should create a loop that will hold the sting in place there.
Thread the bead onto the string on the left-hand side.
Push the ends of the string through the remaining holes.
Tie them securely at the back.
The object of the brain teaser is to get the bead from the left side to the right side. Obviously, you can’t untie the string at the back, that would be cheating.
I am not posting the solution to it, so best of luck.
