Everything You Need To Know About Suuthe: The UK’s First Sensory Mat For Babies

Transitioning from the womb to the world can be difficult for your baby, especially when it comes to napping. The Suuthe SmartMat is a new revolutionary product built to help. Designed and made in the UK by ex-Rolls-Royce engineers, its aim is to calm restless babies by mimicking the comforting sounds and sensations of the womb.

Introducing the Suuthe SmartMat

The fourth trimester is characterised as the settling-in period for your baby and refers to the first three months of a newborn’s life. Babies can find the outside world a very unsettling place during this time, being overwhelmed with unfamiliar sights, smells and sounds. This in turn, can disrupt sleep.

Suuthe was founded after first-time parent Alex found that no matter what he did to help, his baby would not settle to nap. A quick Google lead to the conclusion that there was a huge gap in the market for a trustworthy product that would be baby-safe, and adept at lulling our littlest ones into a restful sleep.

18 months later, the UK’s first sensory mat for babies, the Suuthe SmartMat was born.

How does the SmartMat work?

The Suuthe SmartMat emulates the calm and familiar sensations of a mother’s womb with the goal of sending your baby into blissful golden slumbers. It has two unique modes to choose from: white noise with a gentle vibration or heartbeat sounds with a matching heartbeat pulse. Simply choose the mode to match your baby’s mood and let the soothing consistency of the Suuthe SmartMat help your baba drift off to sleep.

What is the SmartMat made of?

The Suuthe SmartMat is CE certified and made from non-toxic luxury materials suitable for even the most delicate skin.

The SmartMat includes a super soft cotton upper and a removable, washable outer cover in case of any accidents. Being water-resistant, it won’t be phased by any accidental spills or leaks, and while the inner foam mat is not machine washable, it can be wiped easily clean with a damp cloth.

Is it safe for my baby to use?

The Suuthe SmartMat is a premium product, designed, assembled and tested in the UK to the highest possible standards. It’s CE certified, so you can rest assured it’s completely safe for your baby. There’s a clever auto shut-off that ensures the SmartMat automatically switches off after 25 minutes so it’s always off when not in use.

It’s suitable for newborns right up until six months old, and it can be used for longer if necessary. It’s worth noting, however, this product is not recommended for overnight use.
