The Out n About Nipper Double is the multi-terrain side by side pushchair I’ve heard parents rave about. With a 19-month-old and a three-year-old that still needs a seat every now and then – especially on long walks, I was keen to try it out.
An award-winning buggy, the Nipper 360 Double boasts similar features to the Nipper 360 Single, but with one obvious alteration – there’s room for two!
The assembly of the latest version of the Out n About Nipper Double, the 360 V4 is super-simple, once you’ve pulled it out of its neat cardboard box.
The two back wheels slot simply into place, while the front lockable swivel 360 wheel clips easily into position. Then, unfold the buggy, attach the seat liners, and you’re ready for adventure.
The Nipper Double 360 V4 is suitable from birth to approximately 4 years of age with optional newborn supports. It’s also carrycot compatible.
This is a side by side pushchair built with independently reclining seats and individual seat hoods making it perfect for twins, or two children of different ages or sizes.
While the Nipper Double’s padded seats offer plenty of space for both children to sit comfortably, the side by side pushchair itself is fairly slimline, at only 72cm wide. It fits nicely through standard doorways, so you don’t have to worry about feeling restricted about the places you go. (We’ll leave that one to Covid).
Compared to other double buggies on the market, it’s incredibly lightweight for its size, thanks to its aluminium frame, weighing in at only 12.8kg.
The Out n About Nipper Double 360 V4 offers a spacious and super comfortable ride for both passengers, whether they’re newborn, or older twins/kids.
The multi-position reclining seats offer a fully lie-flat position, which as previously mentioned, is ideal for newborns and necessary for babies and toddlers that need those all-important naps on the go.
The buggy’s retractable sun canopies are generous in size and will protect your child from the elements, all year round. The seat hoods both have peek-a-boo windows covered by fabric flaps that fasten shut with velcro, so you can keep an eye on your children at all times, with minimal disruption.
The Nipper Double 360 V4 is built with safety at the forefront of its design. A detachable hinged and padded bumper bar sits across both seats, and each seat has a 5-point-harness which is reassuring, especially if you’re using the buggy from birth.
The buggy’s one pedal easy lock lever brake is situated in the middle of the buggy’s rear axil. It works by moving two shafts into the rear wheels, which stops the buggy in its tracks. Brilliant peace of mind when you’re pushing double the weight!
The Nipper Double 360 has ticked a lot of boxes so far, but what about its manoeuvrability?
With air-filled tyres, independent rear-wheel suspension and an adjustable handlebar, the Nipper Double 360 offers a smooth ride with an effortless push. This is a side by side stroller built to tackle any terrain, both on or off road with complete ease. Be it navigating the two-metre rule on uneven city streets amidst a social distancing dance, or off-road walks around the woods, the Nipper Double can handle pretty much anything.
Its hardwearing pneumatic tyres are designed with a 90-degree easy fill valve, 25 PSI will provide a comfortable ride for your kids. It’s true that pneumatic tyres will naturally lose some air over time, so be ready and armed with a pump to keep your buggy in check.
The V4 Nipper Double benefits from a compact folding design, so you can easily store your pushchair in the hallway or under the stairs. The V4 comes with an auto-lock which will clip together once the buggy has been folded.
The Nipper Double is designed with handy storage pockets and two large shopping pouches underneath each seat, so you can store your essentials.
