Silver Cross has been busy updating their best-selling pushchair range just in time for summer strolling. The Silver Cross Reflex, Pop and Zest have all been given a refresh, with improved design and exciting new colour ways. We take a look at the Reflex Orient, the brand’s most premium pushchair.
As luxury strollers go, the Reflex Orient certainly ticks all boxes. The Reflex combines craftsmanship and quality with style and sophistication, with its understated black paisley pattern and gold accents. If you’re looking for an everyday pushchair that will turn heads, the Reflex is for you.
The Reflex Orient arrives in tall, thin box, so all that’s left for you to do is click the front wheels into place, and attach the canopy and bumper bar. Within minutes, my two-year-old son promptly got himself up into the buggy and sat there for an hour in the living room, very impressed with his comfy new ride.

The Silver Cross Reflex is suitable from birth, with its lie-flat seat and exclusive, soft-padded newborn head hugger. Thanks to Baby CurveTM comfort technology and an airflow backrest, newborns and little ones up to 22kg will enjoy the ultimate on-the-go comfort. The buggy’s shoulder and harness pads ensure your little one is strapped in securely but comfortably, and the leatherette bumper bar swings open for easy access.
What’s noticeable about this pushchair is that it facilitates an upright seated position, great for older reflux babies, and inquisitive toddlers. My son was able to hold onto the padded bumper bar and happily view his surroundings from the pushchair’s world-facing position.
The super-luxe stroller has an easy, one-motion fold, and can be collapsed with the bumper bar in place. It’s thin enough to store upright in the hallway, and will fit horizontally into most car boots.
When it comes to comfort, Silver Cross has also thought about the parent/pusher’s needs. The Reflex is an easy stroller to push, feeling lightweight and effortless when maneouvering around tight spaces. It negotiates kerbs with ease, and has lockable swivel wheels to provide extra stability when you need it. The adjustable, ergonomic multi-height handles mean you won’t need to stoop or stretch, and there’s a decent-sized shopping basket for your essentials.
The UPF50+ hood features a zip-out extension for added shade with mesh panels for ventilation, while a rain cover offers protection in wet weather, so you can get out and about with ease – despite the unseasonable weather.
The Silver Cross Reflex is car seat compatible, so you can make use of this stroller from day one. It can be paired with the brand’s Dream i-Size and Simplicity Plus infant carriers.
Reflex Orient is available at Silver Cross retailers and silvercrossbaby.com. RRP £295.
