An ultrasound scanner that connects to your iPhone could soon allow you to see your baby without visiting the hospital. The Butterfly IG handheld device is making medical imaging more accessible that ever before, without the need of bulky machines. It’s estimated the device will cost around £1,500 and will be able to be purchased by anyone. The inventor Jonathan Rothberg believes it could have as much of an impact on healthcare as the stethoscope.
