The Top 5 Picturesque Places To Watch The Tennis This Summer

With no shortage of places to watch the tennis this summer, it can be quite daunting trying to locate the perfect place to get into the Wimbledon spirit. Whether you’re looking for a trendy bar or a scenic outdoor screening, we have located the top five coolest, Instagram-worthy places to kick back and relax in.

Square Bar & Kitchen, Hoxton

This trendy Shoreditch-based bar is the perfect place to go for date night or with friends if you are feeling a need to escape the somewhat crowded parks. Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen will be screening the tennis for the duration of the games, from now until Sunday 16th July. Better still, if you order a jug of Pimms or their ‘Just Deuce’ Wimbledon-inspired cocktail, you get a free serving of the traditional Wimbledon snack strawberries and cream – advantage!

Landsec’s Outdoor Wimbledon Screenings, St Paul’s

Head on down to either One New Change by St Paul’s, New Street Square by Chancery Lane or Cardinal Place in Victoria to experience the best outdoor cinema-style Wimbledon experience in London. Our favourite spot is by St Paul’s, the most scenic place to get that picture perfect Instagram snap. Between now and the 16th of July, catch one of Landsec’s outdoor cinema style screenings of the tennis. Starting from 10am till 9pm, this outdoor screening is the hippest place to go, boasting an array of Union Jack deckchairs and cushions for you and your family to kick back in.

Strawberries and Screen Display, Kings Cross

This one is a real hot-spot for tourists and tennis fans alike. With 50 colourful deckchairs available, you will need to get down relatively early to ensure a spot for you and your family. Nevertheless, this free entry event is the perfect spot to catch a tan and improve your tennis knowledge.

Cinnamon Kitchen, Devonshire Square Gin Garden

Traditionally a modern-Indian restaurant, Cinnamon Kitchen has recently collaborated with Bombay Sapphire to provide customers with a new experience in the form of a bespoke gin garden. Bright, cheerful colours are a prevalent theme here and are shown through elaborate gazebos, available for private hire. There is of course an outdoor TV screen airing the Wimbledon festivities, as well as other well reported sporting activities.

Big Screen On The Beach, Roundhouse, Camden

This rooftop beach in the heart of Camden is exactly what you need for a change of scenery when watching the tennis. With pop-up deck chairs, a bar and golden sand between your toes, you’ll be completely immersed in the summer spirit. Usually showing a variety of movies, the Roundhouse is due to show screenings of the Wimbledon finals on 15 and 16 July. Please check the Roundhouse website for more details.
