As I mentioned before, children love collecting leaves. But what to do with them all? If you find yourself with a lot of crinkly leaves, then this Autumn leaves sensory tray and picture is a perfect way to use them up.
Make sure you follow my seasonal craft board on Pinterest for more ideas. Don’t forget to save the pin for later.

Add all the leaves that your little one has collected into the sensory tray. Get your little one to break up all these leaves. They can crunch them, rip them, whatever they want. You want the leaves to end up in much smaller pieces. This sort of activity is great for getting rid of any pent-up frustrations and helps develop hand muscles that will be needed for writing.
When all the leaves are broken up, get your little one to draw the trunk and branches of a tree onto a piece of paper.

Add glue all over the paper. Then sprinkle the broken-up leaves over the glue. When the paper has all been covered with leaves, tip the paper over the sensory tray to get rid of any loose pieces of leaf. They can always go back and add more glue and leaves if they think the picture needs more.

Now you have a lovely Autumn tree picture to put up.
