Dog Days Retreat: London’s First Wellness Festival for Dogs & Their Humans

Dog Days Retreat is London’s first indoor wellness festival for dogs and their humans. It takes place at the Royal Lancaster London, opposite Hyde Park, on Saturday 26 September, 11am to 4pm, with ticketed entry across morning and afternoon slots.

The day brings together a wellness market of curated brands across nutrition, wellness, lifestyle and enrichment, a series of expert talks on canine health, nutrition and behaviour, and together sessions designed for dogs and their owners to relax and unwind side by side.

It’s a full day of wellness for both ends of the lead, with dogs of all breeds and ages welcome. From a five-star hotel setting to a genuinely thoughtful programme, it’s shaping up to be a real first for the London dog community.

Tickets and more details can be found here.

Runner 2, hauck

hauck is a trusted parenting brand making the everyday moments of family life a little bit easier. With over a century of designing innovative baby products, hauck combines sleek modern design with clever functionality and everyday practicality, all at an accessible price point.

We love their Runner 2, available in sleek black and an earthy mocha – the perfect pushchair for crisp autumn walks and family adventures. The extra-large pneumatic wheels and a lockable swivel front wheel deliver stability over bumpy ground and precise control in tighter spaces.

The generous canopy, complete with reflective trim, is perfect as the evenings draw in, and the handy ventilation window opens for fresh air during naps and outdoor exploring or closes to keep things cosy and snug as winter comes. A highlight for us is the one-handed multi-position recline, making sure you don’t disturb them during alfresco nap times – plus it folds up nice and compact.

Splash About expands iconic Happy Nappy range with the Happy Nappy Hero!

Splash About’s new swim nappy is a superhero for swim time and the planet!

Reliable and reusable, the Happy Nappy Hero is designed with two essential layers of leak protection and made from innovative YULEX, a sustainable plant-based alternative to neoprene.

The Hero is the ultimate defence against unwelcome faecal leaks, with snug-fitting waist and thigh bands and a second internal layer of protection. This 2-in-1 swim nappy is swim-school approved so there’s no need to wear a separate disposable underneath.

This is great news for the environment as over 200,000 disposable swim nappies are discarded weekly in the UK, taking 500 years to decompose.

Made from YULEX, a natural rubber, the Hero is ideal for baby swimwear. It’s soft, hypoallergenic, flexible and durable, maintaining its shape wash after wash and dries quickly too!

The Hero is suitable from 3months to 3years, and available in five cute prints. £18.

September Drops at Stripe & Stare

Stripe & Stare is giving our underwear drawer an autumn refresh with a gorgeous new collection of indigo blues, rich purples and two brand-new underwear shapes.

Founded in 2017 by Katie Lopes and Nicola Piercy, the British, female-founded B Corp has built a cult following by proving that seriously comfortable knickers can be stylish and more sustainably made too.

The brand’s signature super-soft underwear is made mainly from breathable TENCEL™ fibres derived from trees, with comfort at the heart of everything it does. The latest drop brings that same wear-all-day softness into a moodier new-season palette, alongside fresh silhouettes to update your top drawer. Comfy knickers, but make them chic. We’re in.

FitFlop x Ester Manas: The Fashion Collab To Know

Comfort, but make it fashion. FitFlop has joined forces with Paris-based designer Ester Manas for AW26, bringing together the footwear brand’s biomechanical know-how with Manas’ bold, body-inclusive approach to design.

The limited-edition capsule gives everyday footwear a decidedly more directional edge, with squared-off toes, tactile pony-hair finishes and chunky statement platforms across mules and trainers. Five silhouettes span 13 styles, including the PlatFForm Pony, Delicato Pony, Gen-FF Back Strap, Retro Q FF and Dash FF, with prices ranging from £110 to £190.

For serious fashion collectors, there’s an even more exclusive drop: just 96 individually numbered pairs will be available worldwide.

Launching globally on 3rd September, this is FitFlop as you’ve probably never seen it before. Think comfort-first engineering dressed up for Fashion Week, and proof that sensible shoes needn’t look remotely sensible.

PODCAST: Momfessions Is Back For Season Six

Motherhood can be wonderful, chaotic, overwhelming and, sometimes, full of thoughts and feelings we’re simply too scared to say out loud. That’s exactly where Momfessions comes in. Hosted by maternal mental wellbeing expert Laura Guckian, the award-winning podcast returns for its sixth season on 14th September, tackling the realities of parenthood that rarely make it onto the highlight reel.

Each episode combines frank, practical conversation with anonymous ‘momfessions’ from parents and guardians, exploring the worries, struggles and experiences many feel ashamed or frightened to admit.

This season’s guests include presenter Georgia Jones, Mothers for Mothers CEO Maria Viner, The Weaning GP Dr Sarika and miscarriage innovator Laura Corcoran. Together, they delve into everything from postnatal mental health and deciding whether to have another child to parenting after a blindness diagnosis, baby loss, miscarriage and why so many women struggle to tell healthcare professionals how they’re really feeling.

Honest, reassuring and refreshingly free of judgement, this is motherhood without the shiny filter.

Waken Makes Brushing A Little More Fun

Getting little ones to brush their teeth without a battle is no mean feat, so Waken’s new children’s range has caught our attention.

Tiny Waken is made especially for babies and toddlers aged 0–2, with 1,000ppm fluoride to help protect those precious first teeth. For bigger kids aged 3–12, Waken Kids contains 1,450ppm fluoride and, brilliantly for mint-refusers, swaps the traditional toothpaste tang for a much more appealing watermelon flavour.

The Kids formula has also been tested under dentist supervision, with parents reporting no stinging and, importantly, happier brushing.

Both toothpastes are part of the colourful Waken Smile Club, complete with characters, stories and resources designed to make twice-daily brushing feel a little less like a chore.

Tiny Waken and Waken Kids are £3.50 each and available online and at selected retailers.
