The Measure: What’s Hot For Parents & Kids

On the My Baba Wishlist…

Loop Earplugs

Hearing protection has emerged as the newest trend in wellness, and it’s something everyone should take seriously. Whether you’re a young Gen Z raver or a regular commuter on public transport, wearing ear protection is essential for maintaining your hearing health.

The old stigma surrounding earplug use is disappearing, thanks in part to brands like Loop. They’re dedicated to offering stylish and innovative ear protection solutions that cater to various environments and needs. Loop has witnessed a surge in global awareness and demand for their earplugs, selling over 5 million sets in 2023 alone. Interestingly, the largest consumer group falls between the ages of 18 and 45, highlighting that this trend is crucial for people of all ages and shouldn’t be overlooked.

Splashathon, UK Babies Make A Splash To Save Other Babies’ Lives

Children from Water Babies classes across the UK will be showcasing their superstar swimming skills with a ‘Splashathon’ fundraiser for charities Tommy’s and the Children’s Alliance. Local events will take place at pools up and down the country from the 11th to the 17th of March 2024. 47,000 swimmers from birth to 5 years old will be sponsored to complete swimming challenges in their favourite fancy dress.

The bi-annual ‘Splashathon’ fundraiser has been running in Water Babies lessons since 2006, and altogether Water Babies have raised over £5 million. This year, we aim to raise the highest amount ever achieved in one ‘Splashathon’ – £1 million for Tommy’s and the Children’s Alliance.

Tommy’s Mother’s Day Campaign

Amanda Holden and Myleene Klass are among celebrities backing the launch of UK pregnancy charity Tommy’s annual?Mother’s Day campaign, We See A Mum.

The charity launched the campaign to recognise and celebrate all mums, wherever they are on their pregnancy journey, and aims to encourage people to talk more openly about different paths to parenthood.

This year’s campaign focuses on sharing messages of support with others who might find this time difficult ahead of Mother’s Day, and the presenters and charity ambassadors have shared their own personal stories, offering words of hope and encouragement.
