This gem and glue decoration is very low prep and can keep little ones busy for long enough for you to finish that cup of tea you have been trying to drink all morning.
Make sure you follow my Christmas board on Pinterest for more ideas. Don’t forget to save the pin for later.
*The lid needs to be flat and have a lip to keep the glue inside.

Pour some glue into the lid so that it is enough to completely cover the bottom of it.

Then fill it with gems, sequins, or beads.
Leave it to dry. I left mine on the table in my living room. Unfortunately, it is very cold in there, and when I came back to check on them 24 hrs later, they hadn’t dried at all. I recommend that you leave them somewhere warm, like an airing cupboard. You could put them on top of a radiator, but they run the risk of being knocked off.
When they have finally dried, peel them off from the lid.
Use a sharp needle to make a hole at the top and thread some thread through so that you can hang is up.
Alternatively, you could pour the glue in and wait for it to dry, then paint it afterwards.
